Nose : Extremely elegant, with notes of ripe red and black fruits such as strawberries, cherries, currants, blackberries, and cassis. It also has fine aromas of tobacco, wet earth, chocolate, coffe, caramel, vanilla, and spices like pepper and cinnamon, with a pleasant floral finish contributed by the varietal. 
 
Palate: It has a high attack, with high astringency that perfectly blends with balanced acidity, present alcohol, and a prolonged aftertaste.
 
Pairing: Pair excellently with wood-grilled cuts of meat, game, spiced pastas, moles, and mature cheeses.
