OUR FOUNDER

Michelle Martain

Born in San Diego and raised in Ensenada, Michelle grew up in the heart of the Valle de Guadalupe's evolution.

Her family owns one of the oldest boutique wineries in Baja, allowing her to literally grow up surrounded by barrels of wine and vineyards. It was only natural for her to take great pride in becoming an ambassador for these amazing wines.

Michelle began her adventure of bringing Baja wines to the U.S. in 2004 with a backpack filled with three bottles, navigating San Diego's trolley system (a car was not in the budget back then).

She encountered countless stories and surprised faces as she introduced people to Mexican wines. While some were eager to try, others were hesitant to even take a taste.

So much has happened since then. Today, our wines are considered "local" in San Diego, and we continue to expand our presence throughout California. We've also formed several partnerships with distributors in states like Texas, Georgia, Florida, New York, Illinois, Washington, Virginia, and even Puerto Rico and the Bahamas!
